Check out Minted for Calendars & Other Gifts!

The trouble with procrastination is that sometimes you just can’t ever catch up.

When we moved back to the US in December 2012, life was pretty much upside down for a while. The calendar I had at the time included an extra month, so it ran through January, and it still took me a while to order the 2013 calendar. Which mean in 2014, I ordered it later…resulting in the 2015 calendar not ending until March.

And once again, I’ve been so overwhelmed that I haven’t gotten around to ordering a proper family calendar with room to write and important dates already written in. Thankfully, Minted offers a great selection of calendars year round. I’m a big fan of their calendar products because they are printed on a heavy-weight, non-glossy paper, meaning you can write away without worrying about the ink smearing.

I’m partial to the “Grand” sized calendars, as they measure 11.5″ x 14″, allowing more space to fit in details of our crazy schedules.  Still, the toughest part of ordering a calendar from Minted is actually choosing one – there are so many pretty designs – so perhaps you can help me:

I’m leaning toward the second – what do you think? I love that I can change the color palette to suit my kitchen, too. (I’m fussy that way.)

You may not know that Minted has more than just cards and calendars – they feature a great selection of artwork (that you can order framed at a wonderfully affordable price) as well as stationery of all sorts.

I’m addicted to pretty stationery. There are worse addictions to have, right?

And while I was adding dates to my Minted calendar from my personal calendar, I realized that Teacher Appreciation week is right around the corner. I don’t like giving “teacher” themed gifts and a few of my children’s past teachers have commented that they really like gifts that they can “use up” –  and I think pretty, personalized note cards fit the bill nicely!

I really like that there are options to change up the color, font, and even the shape of the card!

Starting at around $35, I would reserve these for a favorite teacher; they would also work well as part of a class gift. (They also have super cute stationery for kids, in case you have any graduation thank yous your kiddo needs to send….)

Thinking about it, since you can customize the start date of the Minted calendars, giving your teacher a calendar that starts in August (to run through the school year) full of fun student pictures and filled out with dates from your school district’s calendar would also be a thoughtful classroom gift!!!

Check out all the great products on offer at Minted ( just in time for Teacher Appreciation Week in May and be sure to tell me YOUR pick for my 2015 (and part of 2016) calendar!
