Fill In the Blank Friday. On Saturday.

Yes, I know it is Saturday.

Because I’m PERPETUALLY a day late and a dollar short. And because I have a whole passel (that IS a word) of blog posts, unfinished as it is, on my laptop, quite embarrassingly.

So without further ado, let’s fill in some blanks, shall we?

1.  My favorite flower is    the tulip. They are so sunny and happy, and can look simple and elegant at the same time. I had parrot tulips in my wedding bouquets, which probably was my favorite flower arrangement, ever.
2.  You should never talk about  topics that you aren’t ready to discuss IN DEPTH with your kids in front of your kids. They have memories like elephants, and if it doesn’t get you into hot water at the time, it will come back to haunt you later!
3.  My favorite discovery as of late is  Charlie Bighams Fish Pie. I know, crazy, right?  While normally homemade soups are my go-to comfort food in the fall, I’ve had a craving for pies.  I know that fish pie is NOT something I’ll find back in the US, so I’ve been on a hunt to find a great recipe for one.
4. This fall you will probably find me wearing   my standard uniform: leggings or colored tights, tall boots, comfy long cardigan sweaters/tunics and cozy scarves. I am always cold, so I tend to layer, but I’m finally breaking away from my all-black-and-gray wardrobe.
5. I wish I were less stressed about moving back to America. I’ll be able to breathe a sigh of relief when we figure out where we’re going to be living in January. I’m still hopeful that our current tenant finds a place to rent.
6. My favorite TV show currently is  ??? I’m waiting for all my favorite shows to begin airing again here in the UK. The last show I was hooked on was, perhaps embarrassingly, Hart of Dixie. (I love quirky). I’m waiting for Grey’s Anatomy, Blue Bloods, Grimm, and Dr Who to start their next seasons. Unfortunately, by the time they start here in the UK, they will be well underway in the US, so we’ll have missed the first part of the season by the time we move back in January. Bugger all.
7.  This weekend I want to  hang out with the Hubs and the kidlings, and hopefully do some more writing.
So what about you? How would you fill in the blanks this week? Link up with Lauren at The Little Things We Do or play along below in the comment section.
Go on. You know you want to…
