Fill in the Blank Friday (with a bit of thanks included)

 T.G.I.F. people…bring on the weekend!

It’s time to fill in the blanks with Lauren at the little things we do!

1.   My favorite new blog of the moment is  www.giverslog.com. AmberLee has some amazing, fun, happy crafty projects and fun recipes. I’m a crafty girl at heart and love to put a personal touch on things and her printables tick all the boxes. Since I tend to nest a bit in the winter months, I’m gathering supplies for some fun treats (and wishing I was back in the US to try out her Salted Carmel Ticket Sticks (hot chocolate on a stick). I’m also loving Suri’s Burn Book, as I love a bit of snarky fashion commentary.

2.   Something I am thankful for is my friends here. They keep me sane and grounded, and from feeling homesick – they’re just lovely.

3.  Something that made me laugh this week were some “new mommy” cards Scary Mommy created when she couldn’t find anything appropriate at the Hallmark store; they were hilarious, and sadly too close to reality in my house – particularly, this one:

4. An item that is currently on my wish list is a new wool coat. Both of mine are about as old as my son, with a broken belt on one, sleeve lining coming out on the other, but I haven’t found anything I love as much as the ones I have.  I pinned this one, but have no idea where it is from.

5.  I am excited about  the opportunity to watch Pea’s ballet and tap classes tomorrow morning. (The parents are not normally allowed inside the studio while classes are being taught.)

6.  If I were a color I would be blue, in all the shades of the ocean. Some days I’m a warm, sunny, happy Caribbean blue, but on the rare occasion I’m dark and stormy.

7.  My favorite way to spend a chilly fall day is curled on the sofa with my puppy at my feet, a good book and a hot cup of tea. Or cocoa. With Bailey’s Irish Cream. Nom, nom, nom.

The second blank can substitute for my daily Giving Thanks blog post, m’kay?

How would you feel in the blanks?
