Fill in the Blank Friday – on a Saturday

T.G.I.S.

(Thank God Its Saturday. Because, you see, I wrote this on Friday – and then things went downhill further than I thought they could go, and I went to sulk in a corner. And *oops* didn’t publish my post.)

So.

It’s been a crap kind of week, really. One of those weeks where you really don’t want to ask me how I’m doing, because it’s highly likely that I’ll tell you.

And you really don’t want me to do that. Trust me.

Anyhoo….I hate to be in a glass-half-empty mood, I really do! I need a serious attitude adjustment….

…so for now, it will take the form of “Fill in the Blank Friday”, since it usually forces me think happy thoughts! And yes, I know it is Saturday, but I’m gonna send these happy thoughts out there, since I hate to waste a post….

1.   You should always take time to cook/bake those special dishes/treats that you love – but normally only eat at the holidays. Life is too short. And while you’re at it, go ahead: eat on the “good plates”, too….
2. My daughter’s “squeezey hugs” and my son’s infectious giggles  make the world a happier place to be.
3.  I can hardly wait for  the day when I step on the scales and see my goal weight. Alternately, for the day Starbucks brings Pumpkin Spice Lattes to the UK. (A girl can dream….)

4.  Any day I can get Pea out the door for school – on time – and without nagging or shouting  is my favorite day of the week.

5.  Something totally dumb and ridiculous that I love is  watching Barbie movies with Pea. I should really hate them, as I hate Barbie, that skinny bitch, but honestly? The movies are lovely (read: they don’t make me want to tear my hair out), and I think I enjoy them *almost* as much as she does.

6.  If I could, I would get a cleaning lady. I LURVE a clean house. However, housekeeping really isn’t one of my strongest skills. And hey, it would be my little contribution to support the economy, right?? Right??

7.  I rather like a cup of milky tea and a chocolate digestive biscuit on a cold rainy afternoon. (Which is basically September – July here…) I guess I’m turning native!

I do so love Lauren’s “fill in the blank” prompts over at The Little Things We Do.

She has lots of people joining in this week, so check them out, and if you feel like sharing, I suppose it’s not too late (shh, I did). Or, just play along in the comment section below!
