Inspiration comes from somewhere…but…

If you’ve been reading my blog for any length of time, you know that Pea can be…fastidious. Tidy? OCD. Organized.

So it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise if I tell you she wears days-of-the-week underpants. In the proper order. Without missing any days.

She finally outgrew her last set, so we broke out a new set (put aside for when she needed them) last week. This set, from Gymboree, was themed “sweet treats”.

Last night, while in the bath, Pea casually mentioned “Mama, I really like those pants. The ones with the strawberries? I bet they would be really yummy like that, with chocolate on them.” (the strawberries, not the underpants)

I thought for a minute and said “sure, we could make some of those”. We discussed the how and when, and she contentedly moved on to the next subject.

Later on, I recounted this exchange, laughing, to my husband.

He looked at me and said “do you find it the least bit disturbing that she is getting ideas…from her underpants?”

I suppose. Then again, it could be worse – she could be getting them from other places.

Like TV. And that Caillou.

I hate Caillou, that whiny little shit.

  1. Think I’d just be pleased she’s observant tbh!

  2. Do they have Cailou over the pond. If not, they won’t know what they are not missing…

  3. I hate Caillou! I refused to let my kids watch that little whiny, spoiled brat.
